17th   Today I chaired a meeting of the Corporate Complaints Appeals Panel of the City Council at the Civic Centre at 10 am.   The appeal was against the City Council’s Parking Regulations regarding the parking of motor caravans in some of the car parks.  However, regulations are there to be observed.

18th  This evening it was the Parish Council’s Rights of Way Committee meeting which I also chaired.   There was a general update of issues in each of the villages with the parish and each of the Interpretation panels and notice boards now have a responsibility council member to keep them updated   Restoration of finger posts is continuing when finance is found  and the clerk gave an update on items from the last meeting.   Finally members brought forward items for the next meeting to be held on the 24th October.   I supplied members with laminated posters regarding dog fouling and littering to be put up on the village notice boards and reminded members to report overgrown hedges, blocked footpaths, broken stiles, blocked rights of way etc. as they carry out their annual walks along the 63 footpaths within Wetheral Parish.

21st   The third day this week for me to chair a meeting but on this occasion it was an Extraordinary meeting of the Sutton Court (Cumbria) Management Company Limited where I live and was in connection with the repair of Fascias, soffits and bargeboards of the properties following inspection when the 5 year repainting of the properties took place.

22nd  Attended an NSPCC afternoon tea party in Port Carlisle to raise funds for the association.   The weather was atrocious with very heavy rain and flash flooding but all for a good cause.
